Offered here is “CUSTOMERS AREN’T CRAZY. THEY WON’T PAY FOR WASTE!”, an ORIGINAL U.S. Industry Motivational POSTER from 1958. This comes from the estate of a major collector and store owner on the West coast. Published by the SHELDON-CLAIRE COMPANY of CHICAGO, these posters are real RARE gems! Although not signed, I am convinced this is the work of talented Mad Magazine cover artist KELLY FREAS.
Measuring a large 54″ x 28″, this poster is in great shape for it’s age, but has some general edge wear and ragged edges with some minor tears. The main body of the poster is in EXCELLENT condition and it will look amazing in a frame!
Lew Shalett founded the Sheldon-Claire Company of Chicago in 1926 to provide employee motivational materials to American industry. The posters and other materials were used by a wide range of companies, associations, government agencies, municipalities and other organizations. The company had a long history supplying employee motivational materials from 1926-1980. Materials include posters, pamphlets, manuals and other materials, in addition to the papers documenting the development and promotion of these products.
